LOUIS VUITTON PRE-FALL15

Now that summer is abandoning us this year (well, that is if you’re living in scandi-land) we might as well jump right into the pre-fall collections that are landing in the stores these days.

One of my favourites is Louis Vuitton.

PERFECT PAIRINGS

Perfect pieces on their own and paired with each other. That tunic really makes me long for summer, sandy beaches and palm trees. Perhaps it’s time to start thinking about a reunion with LA… The look is from Raiine’s AW15 collection that will hit the stores in July.

COMMAND & CONTROL

Sasha Pivarova stuns in the latest issue of Vogue UK. I love the 1970s utility mood that makes me long for khaki, army and denim. Shot by Craig McDean.

THE COPENHAGEN AW15 REPORT

BAUM UND PFERDGARTEN Baum und Pferdgarten once again makes my heart race with a collection that has my name (and yours?) written all over it. The coats are all to-die-for, and then there’s the lace up suede top and dress that I cannot wait to get my hands on. Not to mention the lace skirt with the matching top. The collection is more grown-up than usual but it still has that cool and quirky spirit that Baum und Pferdgarten is known (and loved) for.   YDE This dress. No more words needed.   BY MALENE BIRGER When someone sends a model dressed in a cognac-coloured leatherskirt down the runway I’m head over heels. Add to that the perfect boyish suit and a night blue coat and I’m sold. By Malene Birger once again established itself as the go-to-label for elegant and easy-to-wear classics that will stay in your closet for a long time. BRUUNS BAZAAR The more I look at this collection, the more I love it. It’s fair to say that it was a silky affair on the catwalk at Bruuns Bazaar where silk was used for everything from elegant dresses and shirts to skirts and pants. I especially loved the silky touch when it was layered with tailored pieces (think silk dress with miniskirt or silk pants with blazer) or when contrasted with wollen fabrics but the piece that caught my attention (and wish list) the most was the black lamé dress.   MARK KENLY DOMINO TAN Undoubtedly the brightest star on the Danish sky of talents. Mark Kenly Domino Tan creates timeless…

CLOSE-UP

So many good things coming out of Copenhagen these days… With the fashion week in full swing I’m glued to the screen eagerly awaiting all the show pictures, which is the closest I’ll get to #cphfw this season. Tonight By Malene Birger showed its AW15 collection, and my heart skipped a beat when this fringed top (with matching skirt) appeared. So far Autumn is looking mighty fine.

TOP 5 STOCKHOLM

Stockholm is the hometown to a bunch of my favorite go-to designers and for this reason also one of my favorite stops of all the fashion weeks. Sadly I couldn’t be there this season but that’s no excuse to not share my favorite collections with you anyways. CARIN WESTER The AW15 collection takes its inspiration from the late 1970s and sees Carin Wester playing with layers and cuts, and the result is an elegant, powerful and a more grown-up collection than seen in the previous seasons. FILIPPA K Filippa K delivered one of their strongest collections ever with lots of chunky knitwear, tailored pieces and an elegant silhouette. Never did cognac coloured leather look this good. ALTEWAISAOME Here’s one that never disappoints. The clean lines and the strong attention to details make my heart jump season after season, and the AW15 collection is no exception. I want it all. WHYRED Take a cue from Whyred, and make room in your wardrobe for lots of grey the coming fall. The key-word to remember is contrast – like when an elegant lace dress is layered with the perfectly oversized woollen coat. HUNKYDORY Hunkydory masters the edgy look like few but for the AW15 season the skinny leatherpants, silky shirts and bikerjackets will be accompanied by a softer and more relaxed silhouette. Psst… Click on each of the designers to see their entire AW15 collections.

LOUIS VUITTON SERIES 2

Freja Beha takes another season as the face of Louis Vuitton – this time alongside actress Jennifer Connelly (long time muse to Nicholas Ghesquiere) and models Jean Campbell, Marte Mei van Haaster, Rianne Van Rompaey and Daphne Simons. The campaign was shot on location in Paris, Miami and New York by quite the trio of photographers; Juergen Teller, Bruce Weber and Annie Leibovitz. The new campaign takes the prize as my favourite SS15 campaign, and I love this behind-the-scenes video from Freja’s shoot with Leibovitz on the top of Manhattan.

DOUBLE

Last season Louis Vuitton made us all swoon over the single earring. Now it’s time to adorn both ears, and once again Louis Vuitton delivers the best. The secret is to create an asymmetric look, and I adore these resin earrings worn with a metal ear cuff. Images via Louis Vuitton’s SS15 Lookbook

FESTIVE FEELING

Ask Céline how to add a festive feeling to any outfit, and this is your answer. I love how the earrings have been styled with tousled hair, minimal makeup and a knit for an effortless look. Perfect statement makers for the holiday season that’s upon us.
